Solar PV & Battery Storage

LCL LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATIONS

LCL Level 3 Solar Photo Voltaic Panels and Electrical Energy Storage Systems Courses

The move to greener and renewable energy sources continues to grow year on year, particularly in the domestic market as Solar Photovoltaic Systems and Electrical Energy Storage Systems continue to become less expensive and more efficient.

XS Training offer an on-site 3-day course in Solar PV Systems and a 2-day course in Energy Storage Systems, at our Training & Test Centre in Leeds. (These are not currently available as online courses).

These will be delivered from the awarding body LCL and is one of the current qualifications required to gain MCS accreditation. MCS is required by many energy companies for any excess energy that is exported back to the grid to be paid to the customer.

We can offer this as separate courses or as a combination of the two.

Course Eligibility

These courses are designed for qualified electricians, with experience in electrical installations and inspection and testing, who want to learn about the technical requirements and practical considerations when installing and maintaining these systems.

Candidates must also hold a current:

  • Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations, and
  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671.
