It’s been an exciting month for the team at XS Training as we have just moved to a new larger Training & test Centre after outgrowing our previous location.

The new Wakefield training centre is located near the M1 and M62 motorway which is ideal for learners accessing the centre from all over the UK.

For learners who may have undergone training in our previous location, it’s in the same business park but a considerably larger unit to accommodate the increase in courses we now offer – and the number of students attending at any one time.

We recently began delivering the C&G 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations which is predominately an online course but has practical elements carried out at the centre.

We also provide a provision for the very popular Level 2 City & Guilds 3667 Fibre Optics and Copper Communication Systems.

It is important that all our learners at XS Training are offered the best experience in theory and practical taught sessions.

We have therefore moved into a larger training centre to create a unique space for our students to thrive as they learn and take their exams, on their journey to become a JIB qualified engineer.

We have been trading for 11 years in the electrical Industry and are considered the leading training provider within the UK for online NVQ’s in Electrical Installation. We started out as a purely Online training provider but over the years have expanded and grown to offer online and in classroom training, which can now be done in this new centre.

The NVQ helps to get candidates recognised as meeting the UK National Occupational Standard (NOS) and the competencies outlined by JIB/ECS.

Upon completion they will be recognised as electricians, and they will be eligible for their ECS/JIB gold card. The gold card is recognised throughout the industry and informs a potential employer that the candidate has met the minimum standard. This also includes the mandatory AM2/AM2S and/or AM2E assessment.

Experienced Electrical Trainers & Assessors

All our training staff are highly experienced qualified electricians with many years of practical and/or teaching experience. The course units taught are in-depth and include group presentations and practical activities.

All assessors are fully qualified and have relevant qualifications to deliver and observe specific installs.
